During an interview early in my career, an interviewer asked "who are you?". Seemingly innocuous and easy to answer, I did what I think most people would; I began to regurgitate my professional history and expertise. The interviewer politely thanked me for my answer, and then repeated the question with emphasis on the word "who". My new answer was completely different.
In the years since I first encountered that question, I have learned that a cultural fit is as important as a functional one. The alignment of character with corporate values cannot be overstated; and even more so for leaders.
I am a confident person & very passionate about my family, my work and my life
I am well-organized, motivated, and a natural leader
I believe situational formality is knowing how and when it's appropriate to be formal, but never stop being personable
I celebrate success and seek to learn from failure
Of all the words available to describe what I aspire to be each day, I choose reliable; It incorporates trust, capability, loyalty and a results-driven work ethic

People work harder when trusted and valued; organizations often choose partners based on this principle
I believe the quality of work products created reflects the pride of the creator
"Don't mistake movement for achievement"
-Jim Rohn
I believe a good leader enables others, while a great leader empowers them
Organizations are structured vertically; though effective operation cuts across business functions horizontally
Culturally, I think organizations should endeavor that every employee recite the org's mission statement as "what they do" for the company
Eye on the prize - I believe that the "means" oftentimes overshadow the "end", hindering progress towards success
"Throw me to the wolves and I'll return leading the pack"
-Author unknown
I excel in environments that require strategic leadership in parallel with tactical execution
I take on the challenging and the unknown to drive results - There are seldom situations where I won't succeed
My value is my depth & breadth of experience, strategic and tactical skills, and ability to lead others to succeed
I constantly strive for efficiency & repeatability through analysis & innovation
